Our work in transportation includes airport, highway and railway experience through our involvement in a wide array of building and project types: Air cargo facilities, administration and emergency operation buildings, toll plaza design and construction, landscape design and installations, historic preservation of train stations.
Thirty five thousand square foot prototypical air cargo facility
designed using modular bays to accommodate multiple tenant
needs. Tenancy includes Delta Airlines, the US Postal Service,
 Continental and American Airlines.
In order to meet an unusually protracted schedule, ACAI provided
full owner representation services to the City of Fort Lauderdale in
the delivery of this multiple phase project. Phase 1, picture at left,
included the Airport's Administration and Police Substation Building,
Phase 2 included the Air Rescue Fire Fighting and Personnel Training
Facilities and the City's West Area Emergency Operations Center.
Services include master planning, programming and design criteria
documents and owner representation from programming
 through move-in.
Unprecedented growth was the catalyst for this project. ACAI was
charged with designing and constructing an expansion to this 1967
facility, while in full operation! The end result was so successful that
 all booths look identical.
Originally built during the 1926 development boom experienced in
South Florida, this southernmost railroad station was targeted for
demolition. ACAI stepped in and provided Title II documentation of
 this Historically Significant Building.
