ACAI Associates provided roofing consultant and
construction
management services, which include field investigations, design and CD's,
bidding and construction administration. 39,000 SF of tar and gravel were
replaced with Asphalt BUR + gravel and SBS Modified Bitumen. Multiple types
of penetrations over different type of decks were one of the various
challenges achieved in this project. Special considerations were taken for
do not disrupt any owner / patients activities.
ACAI's first project, as Palm Beach Counties Roofing Consultant,
resolved the roofing problems in the newly completed $128,000,000
Palm Beach County Judicial Center. This multiple phased project
included the eleven-story Courthouse and the adjacent six-level
State Attorney Public Defender Building.
The project included full time representation during operations, design
and construction documents, forensic services and interface during mediation proceedings.
The saying "keep the presses rolling" took on a new meaning in
the reroofing of the building housing the Tribune's Sun Sentinel
newspaper in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Careful attention to
detail and management of construction activities were paramount
in the successful delivery of the reroofing of the facility around the newspaper's day to day operation.
ACAI's selection as Consultant and Architect of Record for the reroofing
of the New River Center in Fort Lauderdale's Riverwalk included full-time, on-the-field coordination in overseeing the successful retrofit of the City's landmark building.
Careful attention to detail and management of construction activities
were paramount in the successful delivery of the new home for the
Miami Heat.
ACAI's selection as Consultant for the roofing, plaza and curtain wall waterproofing of the newest arena in South Florida included constant
on-the-field coordination in overseeing the successful installation of the envelope surfaces for Miami's newest landmark building by the bay.
ACAI worked closely with the Owner and its design/construction team in delivering this $243,000,000 award-winning project ahead of schedule.
